SAVOY, Ill. — Illinois women's golfers Katie Hallinan and Reena Sulkar finished in second place among women Sunday at the GCAA Amateur Series at the University of Illinois Orange Course. Both shot +10 overall during the 54-hole tournament. 

Illini Tristyn Nowlin was fourth among women, one stroke behind Hallinan and Sulkar. Nowlin and Hallinan tied for the best rounds among Illini with one-under 71s, Nowlin's in the second round and Hallinan's in the third round. 

Hallinan improved each round with a 78, 77, and 71, while Sulkar was consistent with a 75, 76, and 75. 

The men and women played alongside each other at the tournament with only one leaderboard. Varun Chopra was at the top among 60 entrants with a -13 total, while Ashley Kozlowski was the low woman at +8.
