URBANA, Ill. – The Illinois women's tennis team kicks off Big Ten play on Sunday, March 8, when the Fighting Illini take on Purdue at Atkins Tennis Center at 11 a.m. CT.

Join the Illini and enjoy some complimentary brunch provided by Bob Evans. The Orange and Blue will also be giving away an I-L-L sock. Fans can complete the pair when they pick up their I-N-I sock at the men's tennis match that follows at 3 p.m. CT.
LAST TIME OUT
The Illini enter the weekend with a 4-9 record after last Sunday's match against Oklahoma at Atkins. The Orange and Blue fell, 4-0, to the Sooners.
Oklahoma took the doubles point after picking up wins at courts No. 1 and No. 3. In singles action, the Sooners quickly came away with three more points at No. 6, No. 1 and No. 3, to clinch the match.
SCOUTING PURDUE
The Boilermakers are 5-7 overall, including a 0-1 in conference play, heading into Sunday's match up. Purdue notched victories over Xavier (6-1), Miami (Ohio) (5-2), Butler (7-0), DePaul (6-1) and Tulsa (4-2). The Boilermakers took on No. 5 Ohio State for their first Big Ten match of the season on Thursday, Feb. 27. Purdue lost 5-2 to the Buckeyes.
Illinois is 32-31 in the all-time series with Purdue, holding a slight advantage. The Illini defeated the Boilermakers, 6-1, when the two programs met a year ago.
