Illini Sweep Chicago State

URBANA, Ill. - Fighting Illini men's tennis earned a 4-0 sweep of Chicago State at Atkins Tennis Center on Saturday. The Illini did not surrender a set in picking up their second win of the season.
Illinois struck the first blow by winning the doubles point, as Alex Bancila and Fletcher Scott won 6-3 on Court 3, and Zeke Clark and Lucas Horve followed up with a 6-4 win on Court 2.
Clark was the first Illini to complete his singles match, dispatching his opponent 6-0, 6-0 on Court 3. Bancila's 6-2, 6-0 victory followed shortly on Court 4. Fletcher Scott sealed the deal with a 6-1, 6-0 victory on Court 5.
The Orange and Blue are back in action this evening as they host Notre Dame at 6 p.m. CT.
