MOBILE, Ala. - Fighting Illini men's golf finished second at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate after carding a 275 (-13) in the third round Tuesday. Senior Giovanni Tadiotto led the way with a three-round score of 208 (-8) to tie for fourth individually. All five Illini finished in the top 20, as senior Michael Feagles tied for eighth, sophomore Noah Gillard tied for 11th, freshman Jerry Ji tied for 15th, and sophomore Adrien Dumont de Chassart tied for 19th. Playing as an individual, Tommy Kuhl tied for 15th at 211 (-5).

I'm proud of the guys. I'm proud of the team for the effort that we showed to get back in the tournament today," head coach Mike Small said. "To shoot the low round of the day is how we want to finish off tournaments. Compared to how we played last fall, the positive mindset and the ability to stay in the moment was much improved by the team this week."

The Illini finished the tournament one stroke behind Florida State after carding a team round of 275 (-13) Tuesday. That score equaled the second-lowest team round in the tournament, behind Texas State's second-round 274.

Tadiotto birdied six holes Tuesday, including four of his first six. Feagles birdied four of his final eight to finish at 209 (-7). Gillard combined five birdies with just one bogey Tuesday to fire a team-low 68. Ji recorded five birdies of his own en route to a third-round 69, and Dumont de Chassart used to eagles to card a season-low 69.

Also playing as individuals, Brendan O'Reilly tied for 49th at 219 (+3), and Bryan Baumgarten tied for 59th at 222 (+6).
