CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The No. 19 Fighting Illini men's tennis team lost the second of its two-match road trip to the Tar Heel state by a score of 4-0 to No. 4 North Carolina on Saturday. Illinois falls to 1-3 on the season, while the Tar Heels improved to 5-0.

"We knew coming into this weekend we would play two good teams on the road," Illinois head coach Brad Dancer said. "To win on the road you have to be sharper, really clear with focus and stay intent on executing. And then on top of that you have to dig down deep to find extra resources within you. We didn't do either this weekend. Anytime your team doesn't play up to its capacity the first place to look is the coaches. Needles to say we have to prepare this team better and coach them better in matches. We return home with two more challenges next weekend. We need to be more ready."

The Orange and Blue return to Atkins Tennis Center nex weekend to take on No. 2 Florida on Friday and Central Florida on Sunday.
