URBANA, Ill. – The University of Illinois women's tennis team return to Atkins Tennis Center with back-to-back dual matches to begin its spring slate. The Illini host Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m. CT and Eastern Illinois at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday, January 26, as part of the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
Eastern Michigan and Eastern Illinois will square off in the first match of the day at 9:30 a.m. CT, before the Orange and Blue match-up against each team.

SCOUTING EASTERN MICHIGAN
The Eagles are 0-1 to start the spring, after falling to Michigan State 7-0 in East Lansing on January 23. Eastern Michigan and Illinois have only met twice in program history and will be the first time the two teams square off against each other since the 1990-91 season.
The Illini are 2-0 in the all-time series against the Eagles. In their last meeting, Illinois defeated Eastern Michigan, 6-3, on February 17, 1991.
SCOUTING EASTERN ILLINOIS
The Panthers are 4-2 overall this spring, earning the first two victories on January 17 against Alcorn State (4-0) and LSU Alexandria (4-2). Eastern Illinois has since gone on to defeat Mississippi Valley State (4-0) and, most recently, Grambling State (6-1).
Illinois holds an 11-4 advantage over the Panthers in the all-time series record. The two programs last met on January 21, 2018 when the Illini won, 7-0, against Eastern Illinois at Atkins Tennis Center.
