CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illini fans will get their first chance to see the No. 6 Illinois volleyball team in action in 2019 on Saturday (August 24) night at the annual Orange vs. Blue Scrimmage in Huff Hall at 5 p.m. CT.

For the first time in program history, the scrimmage will serve as a charity fundraiser with team splitting into two squads with the Orange Team representing the Eastern Illinois Food Bank and the Blue Team playing for the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club, with head coach Chris Tamas donating $250 to each organization.   

Fans are encouraged to wear the color of the organization they would like to support, with Team Orange fans sitting on the east side of Huff Hall and Team Blue fans cheering on the west side.

Representatives from each organization will be on hand to offer information about the services they provide as well as to take donations if fans wish to do so.  

Ticketing Information
The scrimmage is a ticketed event and all seating is general admission. All season ticket packages include a general admission ticket to the match. Admission is $10 to the general public, $5 for youth (12 and under), $5 for groups of 15 or more and free for Illinois students with their I-Card. To purchase a ticket in advance call 1-866-ILLINI-1, visit the Illinois Ticket Office or click HERE to buy online. Tickets will also be available for purchase on site at the Illinois Ticket Office located outside the West entrance of Huff Hall beginning one hour prior to the match.

Huff Hall Parking & MTD Volleyball tranSPORT Shuttle
Illinois Athletics is once again happy to partner with the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) and will be providing the MTD Volleyball tranSPORT shuttle for the second-straight season. Fans wishing to ride the free 280 tranSPORT should park in the Bielfeldt Athletic Administration Building (located at 1700 S. Fourth Street in Champaign), with service beginning 90 minutes prior to the start of the scrimmage and will run for one hour following the conclusion of the scrimmage.

Along with the Volleyball tranSPORT shuttle, there are also various lots within a 10-minute walk of Huff Hall, as well as metered spaces surrounding the facility. More parking information can also be found here: http://bit.ly/ILLVB-Parking

The Illini are set to open the 2019 season in Knoxville, Tenn., on Friday, August 30 against No. 19 Tennessee in Thompson-Boling Arena at 7 p.m. CT, before hosting the Vols in the home opener on Sunday, September 1 in Huff Hall at 1 p.m. CT.
