Canada Soccer release
Champaign – Fighting Illini soccer rising sophomore Ashley Cathro was selected to the Canada Soccer Women's U-20 squad for a three-match international series, as announced by the program on Friday. The series will be played in England, and Canada is set to face England twice at St. George's Park in Burton and will take on Northern Ireland at Harrison Park in Staffordshire. Cathro is one of 20 individuals
Matches will run from July 9-16, with the first contest against England set for 8 a.m. CT on July 9. Canada will face Northern Ireland on July 13, and again take on England on July 16. Coverage will be provided via Canada Soccer's social media channels.
The international series is the first of several matches in preparation for next year's FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
