Last Time Out
Illinois track & field senior Devin Quinn captured his first-career individual Big Ten title on May 12 at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships at the University of Iowa, placing first in the men's 100m Dash. Quinn clocked a Cretzmeyer Track facility record time of 10.11 to earn the gold medal in the event final. Quinn became the 293rd individual Big Ten outdoor champion in Illinois program history. He is the first Illini to win a Big Ten title in the 100m Dash since Brandon Stryganek in 2015. His 10.11 finish time is the fastest Big Ten title winning time by an Illini in the 100m since Anthony Jones' 10.10 finish in 1994. Not long after taking the Big Ten title in the 100m, Quinn achieved a second-place finish in the 200m Dash. Quinn timed a 20.35 finish time, a new personal-best that now stands as the fastest 200m time in Illinois program history. With his silver medal performance in the 200m, Quinn broke DJ Zahn's progrm record of 20.37 set in 2015.
The Illini also saw medal performances from both their men's and women's 4x100m relay squads.
