CHAMPAIGN - Fighting Illini men's golf will close out spring break week in Chapel Hill, North Carolina this week, taking on the Tar Heel Intercollegiate. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be held at UNC Finley Golf Course March 23 and 24.
Tournament action will begin on Saturday with a 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. Teams will play 36 holes on the Par 72, 7,223-yard Finley Golf Course on Saturday before beginning the final round of play with tee times at 7 a.m. CT on Sunday.
No. 24 Illinois will be joined in the tournament field by 13 other teams, including No. 13 North Florida, No. 30 North Carolina, Elon, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Southern, James Madison, Kansas State, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, UNCG and UNCW.

The Fighting Illini are coming off of a top-10 finish at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas, Nevada. Junior Michael Feagles posted a bogey-free 65 (-7) to close the tournament and earn a sixth place individual finish. Junior Bryan Baumgarten was also among team leaders at Southern Highlands Golf Club, finishing the tournament 2-under par and tied for 14th.
