CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illini fans traveling to the Bay Area for the Redbox Bowl on Dec. 30 will have a number of activities to enjoy prior to the 1 p.m. PT game against Cal, including the Redbox Bowl Pep Rally, "Bowl Bash at the Bay," and a pregame party sponsored by the University of Illinois Alumni Association. Redbox Bowl Pep Rally | 12/29 | Noon
The first bowl event open to fans is the Redbox Bowl Pep Rally on Sunday, Dec. 29, at 12 p.m. at Justin Herman Plaza, at Market St. and Steuart St. in San Francisco. This free and public event is a chance for fans of each team to hear from head coaches, student-athletes and marching bands. 

Bowl Bash at the Bay | 12/29 | 5:30 PM
Also on Dec. 29, all fans are invited to the "Bowl Bash at the Bay" at Public House in San Francisco, located at Oracle Park at 24 Willie Mays Plaza. The event will last from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and is free of charge. Complimentary appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages will be available as well as a cash bar. Fans are encouraged to RSVP in order to reserve the appropriate space. Bowl Bash at the Bay will feature a special bowl radio show featuring the Voice of the Illini, Brian Barnhart and color analyst and former Illini All-American Martin O'Donnell. Fans also can win Illini-themed door prizes throughout the event.

Gameday Run Club | 12/30 | 7 AM
Director of Athletics Josh Whitman will host his regular Gameday Run Club at 7 a.m. PT departing from Embarcadero Plaza outside the Hyatt Regency, Illinois' team hotel (5 Embarcadero Center). The run is open to everyone, and generally is four miles. Following the run, Whitman will hold a Q&A session with complimentary donuts and water. 

Fighting Illini Fan Fest Pregame Party | 12/30 | 10 AM
Before the Illini and the Bears kick off the Redbox Bowl on Dec. 30, the University of Illinois Alumni Association will be hosting the Fighting Illini Fan Fest Pregame Party in Exhibit Hall A at the Santa Clara Convention Center, across the street from Levi's Stadium, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Entrance to the event is $25 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 12. Fans wishing to attend must register by noon on Monday, Dec. 23. A breakfast and gameday buffet will be served, and the Illinois band and cheerleaders will make an appearance at the pregame party.
