GRENOBLE, France - Illini senior Aleks Kovacevic won two of Team USA's four deciding matches against Great Britain on Sunday to lead the Americans to the title at the Master'U BNP Paribas Collegiate Tournament. Kovacevic defeated Ben Jones 6-3, 6-2 in singles before pairing up with UCLA's Keegan Smith for a 6-1, 6-2 clinching victory over Jones and Dan Little.
Team USA earns its second straight Master'U title and its eighth in the last nine years. The United States has won nine titles overall, having first competed in the tournament in 2008.
Kovacevic finishes the tournament with a combined record of 4-2, also contributing singles and doubles wins in Team USA's second-round win over Ireland.
