Illinois Future Schedules
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced Monday that it has moved Illinois' 2020 football season opener against Illinois State to Friday night, Sept. 4. The game was originally scheduled to be played Saturday, Sept. 5.
It will be the fourth meeting between the two programs. The last time the Illini and Redbirds squared off in Memorial Stadium was Sept. 12, 2009, a 45-17 Illinois victory. Illinois leads the all-time series 3-0.
Kick time and television for the game will be announced at a later date.
