CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With a 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-18) sweep of Michigan State on Saturday (November 2), the No. 19 Illinois volleyball team earned the 1,000th victory in program history in Huff Hall.
Senior Jacqueline Quade earned her seventh double-double of the season with 10 kills and 10 digs to lead the Illini (11-10, 6-6 B1G), with junior Megan Cooney also turning in a match-high 10 kills.
Redshirt-freshman Diana Brown handed out 41 assists as the Illini registered a .394 hitting percentage – the second-highest attack clip of the season – to go along with three blocks.
Senior Ashlyn Fleming and freshman Kennedy Collins each added a match-high four blocks, while junior Morgan O'Brien also posted a match-high 10 digs.
The Illini started off strong with a 14-3 start in the opening set en route to a 25-11 set one win, before continuing their dominance in a 25-15 set two victory. The Illini then sealed the win with a 25-18 victory in the third following a Quade kill.
The Illini next heads on the road for a pair of matches, first traveling to Iowa City, Iowa, for a Wednesday (November 6) match at Iowa, before heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for a Saturday (November 9) meeting with Michigan.
