PURCHASE STUDENT TICKETSÂ |Â FALL BREAK HOUSING INFORMATION
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With the success of the Fighting Illini football team, University Housing will reopen residence halls on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 9 a.m., one day earlier than the normally scheduled reopening, to allow the more than 8,500 students living in University Housing the opportunity to attend the Nov. 30 game vs. Northwestern. Game time is set for 11 a.m. CT.
"This is such an exciting time to be an Illini and really come together as a united campus," Executive Director of University Housing Alma Sealine said. "University Housing is proud to support Fighting Illini Athletics. Opening the halls early is one way we can encourage on-campus residents to rally behind our student-athletes."
"We are very grateful for University Housing and their continued efforts to support Illinois football," Director of Athletics Josh Whitman said. "It is thrilling to see the entire campus come together with excitement for this team and the renewed sense of school spirit we see spreading."
Fall break accommodations are available from Saturday, Nov. 23 through Saturday, Nov. 30. Those interested in fall break housing can find information here, housing.illinois.edu/fallbreak. Deadline to apply for fall break accommodations is Friday, Nov. 22.Â
The Illinois football team is currently on a four-game winning streak, including wins over No. 6 Wisconsin and Rutgers and road wins at Purdue and Michigan State. The Illini have secured postseason play and are bowl eligible for the first time since 2014. Head Coach Lovie Smith's team leads the nation in defensive touchdowns, takeaways, turnover margin, forced fumbles and fumbles recovered.
UNLIMITED STUDENT TICKETS: Student can purchase an unlimited number of tickets for the Illinois football season finale vs. Northwestern for $10 each. Students are encouraged to purchase tickets for their entire family.Â
