Live Scoring 

CARMEL, INDIANA – Fighting Illini men's golf opened play at the Crooked Stick Invitational on Monday, playing 36 holes at Crooked Stick Golf Club. After two rounds of play, the Orange and Blue (+10) sit in a tie for fourth on the team leaderboard and are led by freshman Jerry Ji and sophomore Adrien Dumont de Chassart who both sit among the top 20 individuals. Ji is currently 1-over par through two rounds of play and tied for 10^th individually, while Dumont de Chassart is 3-over and tied for 18^th. Georgia currently leads the tournament field with a team tally 4-under par, while Vanderbilt (-2) and Marquette (+1) round out the top three teams on the leaderboard.

Starting his day on the back nine, Ji carded three birdies in the opening round of play, which helped to negate two late bogeys for his round. He was 1-under par heading into his second 18 holes. Ji closed the day strongly for Illinois, posting consecutive birdies down the stretch, which early bogeys in his second round of play. Ji shot 2-over par for the second round, and sits 1-over par in total.

With a total score 3-over par, Dumont de Chassart is among Illini leaders through two rounds of play as he is tied for 18^th overall. He recorded two birdies in his opening round, heading into the second round at 1-over par. Dumont de Chassart added another birdie in his second round of the day to help negate early bogeys in the round.

Senior Bryan Baumgarten and sophomore Tommy Kuhl are tied for 27^th individually, with 36-hole scores of 4-over par. Kuhl started his day at 2-over par, recording three birdies to start the day. He added another three birdies in the second round. After an opening-round 75, Baumgarten shot 1-over par on his second 18 holes of the day, using four birdies to help negate early bogeys in the round.

Senior Michael Feagles is tied for 33^rd individually with a total score 5-over par through 36 holes. Playing as an individual, junior Brendan O'Reilly is also tied for 33^rd after two rounds of play.

Sophomore Noah Gillard is also playing as an individual at Crooked Stick. He is 10-over par and tied for 57^th.

THE TOURNAMENT

The 22nd-ranked Illini squad is joined by 13 other teams in the field at Crooked Stick, including hosts Indiana and Purdue, No. 20 Georgia, RV Vanderbilt, RV  Marquette, RV Ball State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Michigan, Kentucky, College of Charleston, UNC Greensboro and Cincinnati. Teams will play 54 holes on the Par 72, 7,290-yard course at Crooked Stick, which has played host to several major championships including the 2012 and 2016 BMW Championships. The final round is set to begin on Tuesday morning with tee times starting at 8 a.m. CT. Illinois will hit the course beginning at 8:15 a.m. CT.
