Training Camp Central
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Fighting Illini wrapped up week one of Training Camp with another spirited practice Thursday morning at the Campus Recreation Fields. It was the sixth practice overall and the second practice in full pads, and the squad took full advantage with lots of big plays on both side of the ball.
Quoting Lovie
"When will it be decided? Before first game," said Smith when asked about the starting quarterback battle. "Yesterday was our first day in full pads. We have so many more practices to go. We evaluate what they do. Quarterback-wise, every throw, every decision they're supposed to make, we're grading them on it. We're letting everybody get reps, good and bad. We're not ready to name a starter or anything like that yet. We'll let the process play out a little bit."
