CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois football team hosted local and national media outlets at Memorial Stadium on Friday for its annual on-campus Media Day. Following the seventh Training Camp practice Friday morning at the Campus Recreation Fields, the action moved to Memorial Stadium where head coach Lovie Smith talked with the media for about 30 minutes before the team took individual and group photos and players talked to the media.
The Fighting Illini continue Training Camp on Saturday with a closed practice and then will have Sunday off. The Orange and Blue will return to the Campus Rec. Fields on Monday to commence the final week of open practices for fans.
