WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 7 Fighting Illini men's tennis team fell to the No. 1 Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex. Illinois moves to 10-5 overall this season.

Wake Forest jumped out to an early advantage on Tuesday with wins at the No. 1 and 3 positions to secure the doubles point. In singles play, Julian Zlobinsky defeated Noe Khlif on court five, 6-2, 6-3. Playing at the No. 1 position for the first time in his career, Alex Brown, fell to Wake Forest's No. 29-ranked Borna Gojo, 6-3, 6-4. In the end, No. 7-ranked Petro Chrysochos clinched the Demon Deacons' sweep, 6-4, 6-3 over Aron Hiltzik on court two.

Up next, the Illini travel to Bloomington, Indiana for a Friday night match against the Indiana Hoosiers. First serve is set for 5 pm. The Illini are 1-0 in Big Ten Conference play.
