Final Stats

WINDERMERE, Fla. – Fighting Illini men's golf closed the 2018 fall campaign on Tuesday at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational. The Orange and Blue tied for 10th overall with a total score 13-over par. Junior Michael Feagles and freshman Adrien Dumont de Chassart earned top-30 finishes for the Illini, finishing in a tie for 29th overall.

Vanderbilt (-31) took home the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational title, while Auburn (-12) and Arizona State (-11) finished among the top 3.

"This is a disappointing way to finish off our fall season," head coach Mike Small said. "We can't expect to be in contention at a tournament if we start every round the way we did this week. We ran into trouble on the second hole today and it was hard to fight back from that. I saw a lot of positives during this fall season, so now it's time to put this behind us and get down to business. We will take our NCAA mandated time off, and come back in a week to begin our offseason work."

Dumont de Chassart led Illinois in Tuesday's final round, posting a score at even par. He used two birdies in his round to negate an early bogey on the day. Dumont de Chassart closed the tournament at 4-over par in total. Also finishing the tournament at 4-over par, junior Michael Feagles also posted two birdies on Tuesday. Feagles earned four finishes among the top 30 individuals this fall, two among the top 10. Dumont de Chassart also placed among the top 10 in two tournaments this fall, and this finish marks his third among the top 30.

Junior Bryan Baumgarten and sophomore Brendan O'Reilly tied for 46th individually, posting final scores of 7-over par. O'Reilly shot 2-over par on Tuesday, using three birdies to a couple early bogeys in the round. Baumgarten shot 6-over par on Tuesday.

Junior Giovanni Tadiotto tied for 54th individually with a total score 9-over par.
