
Full Promotions Schedule
CHAMPAIGN – Fighting Illini women's basketball announced its home game promotions for the 2018-19 campaign on Thursday. The Orange and Blue have an exciting schedule of events planned for the upcoming season, highlighted by the annual Pack the House game on January 20. Illinois will host several other exciting events including Field Trip Day, Friendsgiving, a Holiday Hoops and Craft Fair, and 217 Night, among others.
Illinois will host a Kids Zone in the Traditions Club during every home game this season, with different activities each game. Fans are encouraged to arrive one hour prior to tipoff to take part in each pregame activity.
The Illini women's basketball program is set to open the 2018-19 campaign in its second season under the direction of head coach Nancy Fahey on November 7. Set for an 11 a.m. tipoff against Alabama A&M, the game will mark the second-ever Field Trip Day and will feature interactive educational booths and activities on the concourse beginning at 9 a.m. Admission for all students and chaperones is free. Those interested in attending Field Trip Day should fill out the registration form and return it to Erin McClafferty in the Illinois Athletics Marketing Department prior to October 17.
Illinois will welcome Columbia on November 18 for a Friendsgiving celebration featuring Thanksgiving crafts in the Kids Zone, Buy-One-Get-One tickets for all fans, and a special ticket deal for Fighting Illini Kids Club Members. The Illini will continue to keep up the holiday spirit on December 1, hosting a Holiday Hoops and Craft Fair prior to Illinois' 2 p.m. matchup against Eastern Michigan. Your game ticket grants you access to a pregame craft fair on the concourse, and the Kids Zone will feature holiday crafts and pictures with Santa.
University of Illinois faculty and staff are invited to take advantage of free admission to Illinois' noon matchup against Missouri on December 21, and fans are encouraged to celebrate the New Year and the start of Big Ten play with the Orange and Blue on December 28. Illinois will Toast to the B1G against Indiana at 7 p.m., giving away champagne flutes and bubbles to fans while celebrating the upcoming New Year. The Kids Zone will feature face painting and a balloon artist.
The Illini will celebrate the local community on January 17 with a new 217 Night promotion. UI welcomes Nebraska for a 7 p.m. matchup on the 17th, while offering several discounted items for fans including $2 tickets, $1 hot dogs and $7 t-shirts.
Admission is free for all fans at the annual Pack the House game on January 20. The first 300 fans to arrive at Illinois' 2 p.m. game against the Iowa Hawkeyes will receive free t-shirts, and there will be face painting and a balloon artist in the Kids Zone.
The Illini will partner with Illini Allies, the UP Center of Champaign County and the Illinois Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Committee to host Pride Night on January 27, and the squad will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on February 10 against Wisconsin that features $3 General Admission tickets for all fans.
Illinois will host its annual Play4Kay Pink Game on Sunday, February 17 as they host Michigan. Fans who wear pink will receive $3 General Admission Tickets. Fans can nominate a breast cancer fighter or survivor to be honored during the game.
The regular season home schedule will conclude with Senior Day on Sunday, February 24 in a 3 p.m. match-up against Penn State. Personal pizzas will be given out to the first 100 fans, and the senior class will be honored prior to the contest.
