Newcomers Playing Prominent Role
Illinois is undergoing a year of major transformation in its program. Illinois stands as the only team in the conference above the 40 percent threshold. The Illini rank third in the Big Ten, meanwhile, in percentage of points scored by newcomers at 37.4 percent.
