
Illinois Prepares for Road Match at Florida State

URBANA, Ill. – The Illinois women's tennis team will head to Tallahassee, Florida, to play No. 36 Florida State on Friday, March 10. The match is set for a 1 p.m. CT start.
"We're excited," said head coach Evan Clark. "I think they're all hungry and ready to compete again after the time off."
The Fighting Illini have had nearly two weeks off, after last playing Oklahoma on the road on Feb. 26.
Illinois brings a 3-8 record into the match, while Florida State enters the contest with an 8-4 mark. Florida State is coming off a 5-2 win over No. 35 NC State this past Sunday.
"We are very, very hungry to get that first win against a top-30 team," Clark said. "We are looking to compete at every line, in doubles and in singles. If we do that, we will be in good shape."
IN THE RANKINGS
In the latest ITA Rankings, Florida State has the nation's No. 56 doubles pair of Nandini Das and Ariana Rahmanparast.
UP NEXT
The Illini will return home to host two matches next Friday, the first of five-straight home matches. Illinois will play Texas Tech on Friday, March 17, at 2 p.m. CT and Saint Louis at 6 p.m. CT.
