Golf is back in season, which means current and former Illini are hard at work! The current Illini squad got a jumpstart on the spring season with a practice trip to Florida.

In the professional ranks, Steve Stricker, D.A. Points, Scott Langley and Brian Campbell spent the weekend at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Stricker led the former Illini in the event, finishing 6-under par to tie for 23rd overall.

Luke Guthrie earned a top-15 finish at the Web.com Tour's Club Colombia Championship by Servientrega. Guthrie shot 7-under par in the final round to finish 8-under for the tournament.

Next week, the Illini overseas will get back to work as Thomas Detry is set to compete at the European Tour's ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth.

 Scott Langley and Luke Guthrie are set to compete at the Panama Claro Championship in Panama City, Panama beginning on Feb. 16 as well. Additionally, Steve Stricker and Thomas Pieters are among the field at the PGA Tour's Genesis Open next weekend.
