RANTOUL, Ill. - Thursday marked Illinois' final full day at Base Camp Rantoul as the soccer program will head back to Champaign Friday afternoon. The Illini will have an open practice on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by an autograph session for fans in attendance, before concluding their week of preseason training. Illinois opens play with an exhibition contest against Notre Dame on Sunday, Aug. 14, beginning at noon.
Thursday's schedule included a morning lift with strength and conditioning coach, Zach Boone, followed by a light practice. After lunch and some time to rest, the Illini were back out on the field in the late afternoon.
The Orange and Blue broke out the karaoke system after team dinner, closing the night out with a little bit of fun.
