The Chicago White Sox and University of Illinois have partnered to hold Illini Night at U.S. Cellular Field on Friday, August 5, when the White Sox take on the Baltimore Orioles at 7:10 p.m.
"We are thrilled to be a part of Illini Night at U.S. Cellular Field on August 5," Illinois Director of Athletics Josh Whitman said. "This is a great opportunity for fans of the Orange and Blue to show off their Illini Pride with a special Illini Sox hat, while getting to experience early batting practice and watching one of the most exciting teams in baseball."
The White Sox are offering specially priced tickets to all Illini alumni, students, faculty and fans as well as their families and friends. The first 2,500 fans who purchase their tickets through whitesox.com/illini will receive a commemorative White Sox orange and blue baseball cap and have the opportunity to enter the ballpark early to watch the White Sox take batting practice (weather permitting). Please note that the early batting practice and hat voucher offer is based upon availability.
