NCAA Singles and Doubles Draws

TULSA, Okla. - The NCAA released the tournament draws for the 2016 Singles and Doubles Championships and Fighting Illini men's tennis athletes Aleks Vukic and Jared Hiltzik will compete in the singles draw. The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships will begin on Wednesday, May 25. 

Aleks Vukic received the No. 4 seed and will face Julian Cash of Oklahoma State in the first round at 9 a.m. CT. A possible second round matchup looms with Rishab Agarwall (Mississippi State) and Jack Findel-Hawkins (North Florida). Other seeded opponents in Vukic's portion of the bracket include No. 8 Ryan Shane (Virginia), No. 9-16 Benjamin Lock (Florida State) and No. 9-16 Joao Monteiro (Virginia Tech).

Hiltzik's first round matchup is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT against Piotr Lomacki (Miami, FL). If he advances, Hiltzik will battle the winner of the No. 7 Christopher Eubanks (Georgia Tech) and Shane Vinsant (Texas A&M). Other seeded opponents in Hiltzik's portion of the bracket include No. 1 Mikael Torpegaard (Ohio State), No. 9-16 Tom Fawcett (Stanford) and No. 9-16 Julian Lenz (Baylor). Hiltzik will make his fourth appearance in the NCAA Singles Championships.
