CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With inclement weather forecasted for Sunday (March 27), the Fighting Illini softball team will now play a doubleheader with Big Ten foe Nebraska on Saturday (March 26), with no game played on Sunday.
The opening contest of the three-game series is still set for tonight at 6 p.m. CT at Eichelberger Field, with game one of Saturday's doubleheader slated for 1 p.m. and game two to begin approximately 20 minutes following the conclusion of game one.
Sunday's planned Easter festivities, including an appearance by the Easter Bunny and a post-game Easter Egg Hunt, will now be moved to Saturday in conjunction with Little League and Girl Scout Day. The Illini softball team will also be available for post-game autographs following Saturday's doubleheader.
Admission is free from all home softball games in 2016.
