The University of Illinois men's basketball team will host Lewis University on Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. CT in the second of two exhibition games leading up to the 2016-17 season. It will mark the second Fighting Illini game at State Farm Center following the completion of a major renovation.
Lewis is an NCAA Division II school in Romeoville, Ill. Last season the Flyers went 24-9 overall and won the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 12-6 mark. This year, Lewis is picked to finish third in the GLVC preseason poll.

Fans unable to attend can watch the Illinois-Lewis game online by purchasing a subscription to BTN Plus, available at BTN2Go.com (the game is not televised). BTN Plus programming consists of non-televised games produced by students at Big Ten universities and is available through either a monthly or annual subscription. Illinois already had one exhibition game streamed live on BTN Plus and will have two more regular season men's basketball games this season following the Lewis game – Nov. 13 vs. Northern Kentucky and Dec. 10 vs. Central Michigan.
