Following an impressive 84-70 home win over No. 20 Purdue on Sunday, Illinois is back in action at State Farm Center following a mid-week bye, hosting Nebraska on Saturday.Â
The Illini are looking to win consecutive conference games since closing out last year's home schedule with back-to-back victories over Northwestern (86-60, Feb. 25) and Nebraska (69-57, March 4).

@ILLINISOCCER'S FLAWS CHOSEN IN NWSL DRAFT
Fighting Illini forward Jannelle Flaws  was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2016 NWSL (National Women's Soccer League) College Draft on Friday, Jan. 15. Flaws is just the sixth Illini to be drafted in school history, and the only Illini to be taken in this year's draft. She's the fourth Illini to be drafted to the Chicago Red Stars program. Flaws finished her collegiate career as one of the most prolific players in Illinois history, holding career records in several categories.

VICTORY FOR @ILLINISWIMMING
 Illinois Swimming and Diving improved to 8-1 in dual action this season with a 164.5-135.5 victory over the Iowa State Cyclones in Ames, Iowa. The Orange and Blue won nine of the events on the evening with Samantha Stratford and Amelia Schilling each winning a pair. UI has now won four-straight duals.

Illinois Women's Tennis is set to open the 2016 dual slate with a home double header slated for Saturday, Jan. 16. Opening the day, UI will host the IUPUI Jaguars in a noon contest. At 5 p.m., the Fighting Illini will host the Eastern Illinois Panthers. Admission is free for all home regular season matches at the Atkins Tennis Center.
This will mark the 13th overall meeting between Illinois and Eastern Illinois. UI holds an 8-4 advantage in the series. In the last meeting with the Panthers, Illinois swept the match by a score of 9-0 back in 1983. IUPUI and the Fighting Illini will face off for the first time in Saturday's dual action.

The No. 19 Fighting Illini women's gymnastics team looks to garner its first dual match victory of the 2016 season as it heads to Piscataway, New Jersey, to face Rutgers. The meet is scheduled for noon CT inside the Rutgers Athletic Center.Â

The Orange and Blue are back at home on Jan. 17, hosting the Wisconsin Badgers at 2 p.m. The two teams have 34 wins each in series history, but the Illini lead the series in Champaign, 20-11. Sunday's game will be streamed on BTN+ and fans can tune in to WDWS-AM 1400.

MICHIGAN OVERCOMES @ILLINIWRESTLING
The Fighting Illini came out strong against W.I.N Magazine's ninth-ranked team, winning four of the first six matches. However, Michigan's strength at the four heaviest weight classes proved too much for the grapplers from Champaign. The Wolverines ended the match on a 17-0 run to win the dual 25-14, including bonus points at three of the final four weight classes. The loss drops the Illini to 1-3 in Big Ten duals, each of which have come at the hands of a top-10 team. Isaiah Martinez  earned his 14thtechnical fall of the season, pushing his winning streak to 60 matches.
