The Orange and Blue stepped outside of the rugged Big Ten today when they traveled to take on Northern Illinois today in Dekalb, Illinois. Once there, the Illini got back to their winning ways with a strong performance, beating the Huskies 27-14, snapping their two-match losing streak. The victory was jump-started by a pin from Brooks Black to open the match and an upset of No. 12 Steve Bleise by Brock Ervin. Recap // Box Score
@IlliniWBB Falls on Road 73-57 at Nebraska
Fighting Illini Women's Basketball dropped to 7-8 on the season and 0-4 in Big Ten play on Sunday, Jan 10, falling to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 73-57. Redshirt sophomore Kennedy Cattenhead again reset her career-high scoring number in Sunday's game, and three Illini contributed double-figure scoring numbers in the contest. Nebraska earned its first conference victory on Sunday, improving to 1-3 in league play. Nebraska native Brooke Kissinger (Minden, Neb.) earned her first-career start in the game for the Orange and Blue. Shelby, Neb., native, Chatrice White's 14 points and 12 rebounds mark her 10th double-double of the season, and she has now recorded three-consecutive double-doubles. Recap // Box Score
