@IlliniSoccer Hosts Maryland and Soccer Fest Today at 1pm!
After upsetting No. 11 Rutgers on Thursday night, the Illini continue play on Sunday, hosting Maryland for the annual SoccerFest. In its 10th season, SoccerFest is Illini Soccer's premier promotion for the season, which will feature a Sunday Fan Zone prior to the game in addition to a post-game youth clinic that is free to participants. The Fan Zone will feature a bounce house, face painting station and a soccer challenge station for fans to test their soccer skills. The first 500 fans to arrive at Illinois Soccer Stadium on Sept. 27 will receive a free Illinois Soccer scarf. SoccerFest has a strong history at Illinois as it is known for consistently drawing crowds that rank among the top-10 in school history.
The post-game youth clinic is open to kids in eighth grade and younger. Registration for the clinic can be done online by following this link.

Taylor Zalewski's 51-yard field goal with just over two minutes left proved to be the difference in Illinois' 27-25 victory against Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
@IlliniVBall Sweeps Rutgers, B1G Opening Weekend
Ninth-ranked Illinois volleyball concluded the opening weekend of Big Ten play with a pair of victories over the newest members of the conference, as the Fighting Illini made quick work of Rutgers in a three-set sweep from the College Ave. Gymnasium. The Orange and Blue improved to 11-2 overall and 2-0 in league play with the victory while the Scarlet Knights dropped to 3-11 on the season and 0-2 in Big Ten action. Illinois won by a line of 25-20, 25-8, 25-16.
@ILLINIWXC PLACES 9TH AT ROY GRIAK INVITE
The Fighting Illini competed for the second straight year at the Roy Griak Invite, finishing nine spots ahead of last season's performance. In their biggest meet of this season to date, the Illini were led to their ninth-place finish by senior Alyssa Schneider who notched a fourth place finish overall.
