Senior running back Josh Ferguson had a monster game vs. North Carolina on Saturday, rushing for 133 yards on 22 carries (6.0 ypc) and one touchdown, plus hauling in two catches for 10 yards against the Tar Heels. It was Ferguson's sixth career 100-yard rushing game and his first since game four of last season (Texas State). He reached a major milestone on Saturday and continues to climb up the Illini career lists. 

• Ferguson became the 17th player in Illinois history to reach 2,000 career rushing yards, finishing the game with 2,126 career yards on the ground.

• With 133 yards against the Tar Heels, Ferguson (2,126 yards) jumped up four spots to No. 13 on the UI career rushing list, passing Rich Johnson (2,058), Nathan Scheelhaase (2,066), Red Grange (2,071) and Chubby Phillips (2,103). 

• Ferguson is one of only two active players in the nation with over 2,000 career rushing yards and 1,000 career receiving yards. Ferguson has 1,300 career recevieving yards to go along with his 2,126 rushing yards. Arizona State's D.J. Foster is the only other active player in the 2,000/1,000 club (2,172/1,996). 

• With 143 all-purpose yards on Saturday, Ferguson upped his career total to 3,807 yards, which ranks fourth on the Illinois career list.
