@ILLINIFOOTBALL WELCOMES STUDENTS TO PRACTICE
The Fighting Illini football team welcomed students to a practice on Sunday evening, one run by the players themselves. The Illini players had fun running drills with the Block I student section and UIUC student body. For the two events, Quad Day and Student Practice, the Fighting Illini broke out the new NIke blue uniforms for the first time. In 2014, following an 18-month rebranding process, the Fighting Illini wore new orange, white and gray ghost uniforms, but this year will mark the first year with the new blue uniforms and pants. Sunday marked the debut of the navy jerseys.
