@IlliniMTrack Concludes Weekend at USATF Championships

The Fighting Illini men's track and field team concluded competition at the 2015 United States Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday afternoon. Illinois had nine competitors take part in the championships from over the course of three days.

@IlliniWTrack Legend @giasmallwood Three-Peats as USATF Discus Champion

Former Illinois women's track and field standout Gia Lewis-Smallwood (1998-01) won her third consecutive discus title at the United States Outdoor Track & Field Outdoor Championships on Saturday. Her mark of 63.09m (207' 0") on her final attempt wound up being the winning throw.

The Illinois football team held its annual Lift For Life event Friday night at Memorial Stadium. The event raised over $16,000 toward its mission of raising awareness and research dollars for rare disease acoustic neuroma.
