Champaign, Ill. - Fighting Illini Men's Golf will be represented well at this weekend's U.S. Open. Two former Illini, D.A. Points and recent graduate, Brian Campbell will join current Illini, Nick Hardy, in the Championship which is held at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash.

The road to the U.S. Open is a difficult one, as more than 100,000 entrants compete to make the final field of 156 players. In order to qualify, entrants compete at a local level, then at a sectional level.

Following the first and second rounds at the U.S. Open, the 60 lowest scorers and anyone tied for 60th will advance to Championship Rounds Three and Four which will be held on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21.

Friday's round will air live on FOX Sports 1 from 9 a.m. PT to 5 p.m. and on FOX from 5-8 p.m. PT. Saturday and Sunday's rounds will air on FOX. Fans can also listen to the rounds live on Sirius Channel 208/XM Channel 93.
