Bradenton, Fla. -Due to inclement weather, play was suspended at the 2015 NCAA Men's Golf Championships on Sunday (May 31) afternoon. Round three will resume at 7 a.m. ET Monday (June 1) with the fourth round to follow.

The Fighting Illini will resume play tomorrow in a tie for third overall. Illinois is currently 6-over par on the round for a total tally 4-over par. The top 15 teams following the completion of the round advance to one final round of stroke play tomorrow, where the individual NCAA Champion will be crowned. The top eight teams at the conclusion of play on Monday will advance to Match Play beginning on June 2.

"We believe that it is what it is," head coach Mike Small said of the suspension of play today. "The rain delay is out of our control, so we're going to embrace it. Today we weren't at our best, so maybe it will be good to take a little break, come back and reboot this. We're not playing poorly, that's for sure, but the other teams are playing well out there and we lost some ground today. We need to play our last three holes well tomorrow and finish. Then, we'll re-group before the final round. We have to get after it tomorrow, and I'm convinced that we will."

Junior Thomas Detry continues to lead the Fighting Illini through the third round of play as he shot even through the front nine. Detry started off his back nine even as well, but currently sits 1-over with four holes left to play.

After a stellar second round, freshman Dylan Meyer worked to maintain his low score. He bogeyed his first two holes of the day, but was able to recover with a birdie on the third hole. Meyer added two more bogeys to follow, but he eagled number seven to bring his score down to just 1-over par. Meyer was 2-over at the turn, and concludes the day 3-over par. The Evansville, Ind., native will return with three holes to play tomorrow morning.

Senior Brian Campbell had a steady round for the Illini as he started the day at even par. He is on his way to his best round of the tournament so far as he will resume play at 1-under with two holes to go. Campbell shot 1-under on the front nine thanks to birdie on the eighth hole, and he added another on 10 to help negate a bogey on the 14th hole.

Currently at 3-over par for the round, freshman Nick Hardy will complete his last two holes tomorrow morning. Hardy negated an early bogey in today's round with a birdie on the third hole, but another bogey before the turn gave him a front nine tally 1-over par. He currently has a score 2-over on the back nine.

With just one hole left to play, Junior Charlie Danielson closed the day 6-over par, good for a three-round tally 14-over. The Osceola, Wis., native started the day at even par before a bogey on the sixth hole. He added three more bogeys to his tally throughout the day.

The Illini will tee off at 7 a.m. ET tomorrow morning, looking to remain among the top 15 teams. The fourth round of stroke play will begin 30-45 minutes after the conclusion of the third round. Tee times for the fourth round will be available at the conclusion of the third round. The Golf Channel is set to begin its coverage of tomorrow's round at 11 a.m. ET with a pregame show before moving to live coverage at 12:30 p.m. ET. Live scoring is also available on GolfStat, and live updates will be posted on the Illini Men's Golf Twitter page (@IlliniMGolf).

The 2015 NCAA Championships are being held at The Concessions Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla., which boasts a Par 72, 7,483-yard course. The field of 30 teams will be narrowed to 15 following 54 holes of stroke play. The Individual Champion will be crowned after an addition round of stroke play on June 1. The top eight teams after 72 holes will advance to the Matchplay Quarterfinals on June 2.
