Champaign, Ill. - Fighting Illini women's basketball earned its first win of the season on Friday night, Nov. 13. The Illini improved to 1-0 on the year with a 67-36 victory over Chicago State. The 31-point victory is the largest margin of victory for the Illini since earning a 44-point win over Southern Illinois last season.
"I'm proud of our team tonight, I thought they continued to battle throughout," head coach
Matt Bollant
said of the contest. "I thought Kyley did a great job of getting us going offensively, she hit three threes in the first few minutes and I thought she played with a lot of energy tonight. I like the fact that we had a lot of different players make threes."

My name is
Leigh Farina
and I am a sophomore infielder from Rolling Meadows, Ill. I am majoring in kinesiology and I am looking to pursue a career in occupational therapy.
I hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying the small heat wave that we are currently experiencing here in November!! It is certainly nothing any of us are complaining about as we are still practicing outside in our individual sessions. It has been great to see the amount of work we are able to get done in the short 40-to-60 minute sessions that we have three times a week. Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll | Full Release
Norman, Okla. - Fighting IllinI Men's Golf claimed sole ownership of the top spot in this week's Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll, as announced on Friday, Nov. 13, by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Coming off of a win at the East Lake Cup, the Illini earned 12 first place votes in the poll after sharing the No. 1 ranking with Auburn in the last poll.
The Illini sit at No. 2 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, and boast an impressive start to the 2015-16 season. The program won four of five events this fall, closing the fall portion with a win at the inaugural East Lake Cup. The match play event pitted the Illini against 2015 NCAA semifinalist teams USC and Georgia.
@ILLINIMGOLF HOSTS WINTER CAMPS
Winter Short Game Camps Brochure
Fighting Illini Men's Golf will host several short game camps this winter, open to all boys aged 10-17. The camps will be held at Demirjian Indoor Golf Facility on Jan. 3, Jan. 9 and Jan. 10. Included in the camp is over five hours of instruction/games with Assistant coach Zach Barlow and Diretor of Operations, Jackie Szymoniak. During the camp we will utilize state-of-the-art equipment and also provide insight on life as a collegiate golfer.
