Illinois men's basketball student season tickets are now on sale. In a continuing effort to enhance the in-game experience, all UI student tickets are now general admission. Tickets throughout the student areas will be first-come, first-served (floor, A level, B level and 200 level), putting the student in charge of his or her seat location. This change ensures that students attending will receive the seats closest to the court and assist the home court advantage for the Fighting Illini.

Illinois students still have two options when it comes to attending men's basketball games, either by joining Orange Krush or by purchasing a general student ticket. All students will be permitted to lineup early and once State Farm Center doors open, students can occupy the floor seats first. After the floor seats have been filled, students will then receive a ticket for a specific seat in the lowest row of A level. Seats in A level will be allocated by row until it is filled, then to B level until it is filled, and continuing into the 200 level.

Students who want to sit together should arrive at the same time, as tickets will be allocated according to their place in line, or if there is no line at the time, by when they enter the doors. Another new student amenity this season is the introduction of mobile ticketing. Students will no longer have to bring a physical ticket to each game, and instead will be able to show their mobile ticket on their phone when going through the turnstiles before receiving their seat assignment for that particular game.

"There is no question that the energy level in State Farm Center comes directly from our students," head coach John Groce said. "I'm excited about the introduction of general admission seating because it guarantees that the student who makes the effort to come out and watch is going to have the very best seat for that particular game. We will now have our student section filled from the floor up, uniting our students, improving the environment and increasing the noise level on the court. This change was made to improve the experience for all students. I can't wait to see them out in full force at State Farm Center, supporting our team."
