1. With his 12-yard catch in the second quarter, wide receiver Mike Dudek became the first freshman in school history to surpass the 1,000-yard mark. He finished today's game with 73 yards on seven catches, wrapping up his rookie campaign with 1,038 yards on 76 catches and six touchdowns, all of which either broke or tied school freshman records. Dudek also became only the eighth Illini receiver to reach 1,000 yards in a season, with his 1,038 yards standing seventh in a campaign in Illinois history.
2. In his sixth start of the season, senior quarterback Reilly O'Toole commanded the offense to 396 total yards. O'Toole completed 24-of-39 passes for 295 yards and one touchdown, setting a new career high for yards against an FBS opponent in his career.
3. Freshman wide receiver Malik Turner capped his rookie season with six catches for 84 yards, surpassing his previous career high for yards and tying his career high for receptions.
4. Junior wide receiver Geronimo Allison had four catches for 72 yards, his most yards since posting 118 at Nebraska on Sept. 27.
