CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - After being the main catalyst of a 20-point comeback performance last week vs. Seton Hall, the conference named Illini senior Amber Moore Big Ten player of the week. Moore scored a game high 24 points in the last second 71-70 win over the Pirates, earning her second Big Ten Player of the week honor this season. 

Moore led by example last Monday night, scoring 22 of her 24 points in the second half. Thus, after a 1-10 start in the first, Moore bounced back by going 7-of-11 from the field in the second stanza including 4-of-7 from three-point range. With 43 seconds remaining, Moore made a game-tying trey to cap a 25-5 Illinois run over an eight-minute span. In addition, her game high 11 rebounds resulted in her second double double of the season and her third in her career. 

The Detroit native currently ranks in the top-10 in seven different statistical categories amongst all Big Ten players including: Scoring (18.4 - 5th), Free Throw Percentage (.966 - 2nd), Steals (2.2 - 7th), Three Point Field Goal Percentage (.380-10th), Three Point Field Goals Made (3.5 -1st), Offensive Rebounds (5.5 - 7th), and Minutes Played (34.5 - 6th). Furthermore, her 24-point outburst last Monday resulted in Moore surpassing Lisa Bradley on the all-time career points list. Moore's 1,193 career points has landed the senior sole possession of 17th place. 

Moore and the rest of the Fighting Illini return to action Saturday, Dec. 21 vs. UT Martin. The matchup is slated for a 2 p.m. start inside State Farm Center.
