ARLINGTON, Texas - Illini senior-to-be Amy Allin tallied five singles and three doubles victories en route to two championship appearances at an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer Circuit Tournament, July 23-25 in Arlington, Texas.
In singles action, second-seeded Allin claimed ten straight sets in five matches before dropping the title match to sixth-seeded Mia Lancaster, 6-1, 6-0. The Dallas, Texas, native also put together an outstanding run in doubles play, teaming up with Madeleine Murray to win three matches on the weekend. The top-seeded tandem cruised to the championship match with an 8-2 victory over Nicole Breaux and Stephanie Williamson but was outmatched in the final round, falling to the No. 2 duo of Samantha Adams and Kenna Kilgo, 8-5.
