CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - No. 15 Illinois counted three pins and score bonus points in all 10 matches to smother SIU Edwardsville 50-0, tying the fourth-highest dual-meet score in school history. Logan Arlis (125), Conrad Polz (165) and Tony Dallago (184) notched the falls, Pat Walker (HWT) accepted a forfeit and No. 7 B.J. Futrell (133), No. 14 Eric Terrazas (149) and Ben Friedl (174) all recorded technical falls to help the Illini improve to 3-2-1 in duals.

"It was important for our guys to use this dual as part of their training and I thought we did a good job of doing that tonight," Illinois head coach Jim Heffernan said. "It was good for them to get down to weight and see a lot of them make good decisions.

"Logan is a warrior for us. He got put in a bad situation and is cutting some weight, but he does everything right and it's good to see him get a win. And Ben Friedl had a really good freshman year before hitting a string of injuries. He's not quite back into shape, but he knows how to win and he's really taking advantage of this opportunity to be a starter."

At 125, Kris Treat got a leg and tripped Logan Arlis, but Arlis scrambled out and forced a restart. Arlis hit a single-leg to a fireman's carry to initiate a scramble, which he won on the edge for a takedown 70 seconds into the bout. He then worked a two-on-one and turned Treat, getting the fall at 2:08 for a quick 6-0 Illini lead.
