CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and Illini Productions will debut a new online series, "Freshman Year," on Friday afternoon. A journey into the lives of first-year athletes, "Freshman Year" will cover members of the women's soccer team as they embark on their scholastic and athletic careers at the University of Illinois. Look for "Freshman Year" in the Top Videos section of FightingIllini.com.

With its debut episode, the series will feature first-year forward Megan Pawloski, midfielder Vanessa DiBernardo, defender Kassidy Brown and goalkeeper Lauren Parkin during preseason training camp and the Illini's scrimmage with Missouri.

Under the direction of Derryl Myles, Assistant Director of Video Services, each episode will give the viewer an inside look at the life of a first-year Fighting Illini athlete. The series will be split into three seasonal sections covering fall, winter and spring sports individually while also checking in on previously covered teams as their seasons develop.
