URBANA, ILL. -The University of Illinois softball game against the Wisconsin Badgers at Eichelberger Field on Saturday, April 24 has been moved to 12 p.m. The game was originally slated for a 3 p.m. start, but due to the potential of inclement weather the start time has been pushed forward. The game will be broadcast on WDWS AM 1400 at 3 p.m. after the Spring Football game, however live stats will be running during the game through GameTracker on fightingillini.com. Sunday's game will still be played at 1 p.m., as scheduled.
Parking lots for the World's Largest Softball Tailgate will still be opening at 8 a.m., and admission will be free. Todd Thomas of the St. Louis Cardinals will serve as the event's live DJ, and there will be free raffle tickets passed out at the tailgate for prizes to be given away during the game. The inflatable games will be opening at 10 a.m. on Saturday, instead of the originally scheduled 11 a.m. opening time. The Athlete Home Run Derby, however is cancelled.
The Martin Softball Complex dedication will take place as scheduled at 10 a.m. in a tent next to Eichelberger Field.
