TULSA, Okla. - Junior Dennis Nevolo represented the Illini earlier today in the opening rounds of the main draw at the 2010 D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships. Nevolo, ranked No. 26 in the national preseason poll released early last month, earned an automatic bid into the main draw of the prestigious tournament.

In the first round of play, Nevolo topped No. 36 Tripper Carleton of Wake Forest, 6-3, 6-3, before falling to No. 45 Reid Carleton of Duke, 7-5, 6-3 in the second round.

The Illini will be back in action in two weeks at the ITA Midwest Regionals, Oct. 21-25 in Notre Dame, Ind.
