ANN ARBOR, Mich. - One Illini doubles team remains after day three of action on Saturday at the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by the University of Michigan. The tandem of sophomore Rachael White and freshman Allison Falkin knocked off fourth-seeded Zara Harutyunyan and Angelina Jogasuria of Akron, 8-5, to earn a spot in the quarterfinal round. The duo will take on Michigan's Denise Muresan and Kari Wig on Sunday.
In singles action, a pair of Buckeyes ended the Illini's run in the draw, as White fell to Kelsey Haviland, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1, and junior Amy Allin was edged by Gabby Steele, 3-6, 6-1, 6-0.
