CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The 2009-10 basketball season is fast approaching and there is excitement in the air in Champaign-Urbana as women's basketball head coach Jolette Law and the Fighting Illini prepare for a run toward the Big Ten Championship. The season opens Sunday, Nov. 8, with an exhibition game against Lewis University and the regular season home opener is on Sunday, Nov. 15, when Siena comes to town. Be sure to catch all the excitement by taking advantage of one of the many ways to join the fun at Assembly Hall.
Season Tickets
2009-10 women's basketball reserved season tickets for the 15-game home schedule are on sale now at the UI Athletics Ticket Office. Season ticket holders will have access to prime seat locations - courtside in A level between sections A2 and A11 on the west side and A28 and A35 on the east side. Public Season Tickets are $84, UI Faculty-Staff Season Tickets are $70 and High School Student/Youth Season Tickets are $42 (UI Students free). Season tickets can be purchased in person at the UI Athletic Ticket Office at Assembly Hall or by phone at 866-ILLINI-1.
Corporate Packages
A new option this season is a women's basketball corporate package. A corporate package is available to anyone, not just businesses, and includes two season tickets as well as 82 single-game tickets to any home game of choice for $250. The single-game tickets can be used by the buyer or they can be donated to Hometown Heroes or a not for profit organization on the buyer's behalf. The purchase of four corporate packages will include perks like the business' name on the scoreboard and in a PA announcement, among others. Go Illini Card
The Go Illini Card is a great way to see many of the Illini athletic programs, including women's basketball. The Go Illini Card allows Orange and Blue fans entrance into all regular season events for baseball, gymnastics, soccer, softball, track & field, wrestling, women's basketball and volleyball. At women's basketball games, the Go Illini Card offers seating in all general admission areas. A family card costs only $50 and admits parents and their children, high school age and under, who attend together. Single Game Tickets
Single game reserved and general admission tickets will go on sale October 19. Public reserved ($9), faculty reserved ($8) or youth reserved ($6) will have access to prime seat locations on the A Level. General admission single game tickets are $5 each and can be purchased in person at the UI Athletics Ticket Office at Assembly Hall or by phone at 866-ILLINI-1 starting Oct. 19.
UI Students Free
For the fifth straight season, all University of Illinois students can attend women's basketball games for free with a valid UIUC student ID.
Courtside Parties
For the seventh straight year, Illini fans will be able to enjoy courtside parties for up to eight people. The package costs $135 ($120 for Kids Club members) and includes eight tickets along with hot dogs, popcorn, drinks, pom poms and game posters for each guest, plus a personalized cake, a card autographed by the team, a PA announcement and a media guide for the guest of honor. Additional guests costs $13 per person. Parties are available at all women's basketball games. Contact Kelly O'Neill at 217-244-0062 or koneill2@illinois.edu to schedule your party.
