TAMPA - Illinois defender Danielle Kot earned W-League Team of the Week honorable mention after helping the Boston Renegades to their sixth straight win with a 2-0 shutout of the Fredericksburg Lady Gunners. Kot becomes the third Illini honored by the league this season, joining former defender Mary Therese McDonnell and senior defender Emily Zurrer.

Kot has been a crucial part of the Boston defense as she has played in every minute of all seven matches this season, the most time of any player on the team. The Renegades' defense has been virtually impenetrable, allowing just one goal through the last five matches. Overall, Boston has given up three goals and shutout its opponent in four matches.
