CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -
The start of Illinois' weekend series at Indiana has been postponed by one day because of heavy rains in the Bloomington, Ind., area. The four-game set will now be played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with Saturday's game and Sunday's doubleheader starting at noon (CT), and Monday's series finale slated for a 2 p.m. (CT) start. The series will follow the traditional 9-7-7-9 format for the four games.
Illinois and Indiana are two of the hottest teams in the Big Ten, both having won eight of their last 10 games. Additionally, Illinois has won 11 of its last 13 games and the Hoosiers have taken 10 of their last 13. Last year, the Fighting Illini swept Indiana in a four-game series at Illinois Field.
